PERSONALITY:
Towa Herschel is the student council president of Thors Military Academy.
That's a job title, but it describes her as well--at first glance (and second and third), she's hard-working, determined, goal-oriented and talented. She's an excellent delegator, wonderful at organizing and well-respected. In a world rife with issues about the worth of nobility versus commoners, Towa, a commoner, is able to command the respect of everyone at the school, nobles and commoners alike. And she does so through hard work, determination and sincere understandings.
Because Towa is a collaborative leader. While she carries the title of President, she doesn't lord it over anyone; in fact, she'll be the first to say that she wouldn't be able to accomplish any of what she does without the rest of the student council there to help. It's everyone working together that can accomplish great things, and Towa's happiest thinking that she's part of the team.
Even when she's invited along to the Crossbell Trade Conference as an ambassador for Erebonia, one of the most important conferences in recent years, she still can only say that she hopes that she's able to be of some use to everyone else--that if she can manage that, it'll all be worth it, and she'll be happy. In that way, she's very straightforward.
Towa's the sort of person who boosts other people up. She's a steadfast rock, she's calm and intelligent, and she's good at giving advice. She's constantly worrying over other people, and whenever she can be of service to someone, she'll do so--even when she has approximately 500000 other things to do as student council president. Along those lines, she has a hard time asking for help; if it isn't offered to her, she'll do everything herself rather than trouble anyone else, even if it leaves her totally exhausted.
Because really, she's just a very normal person. She has her fears and concerns, chief amongst them her friends being hurt, or not being able to be of help to someone else. She wants to make everyone proud, she wants to make herself proud, and she wouldn't be satisfied if she couldn't do that much. So she throws herself into everything she possibly can, trying to be the support for everyone while also trying to be the best student and leader she can be. It's really no wonder she passes out on desks sometimes.
Otherwise, though? She's a gentle soul, but not afraid to tease or be fierce when need-be; if it'll cheer up her friends, she's all for doing whatever she can. Usually, though, she's the one getting flustered by teasing, much like a not particularly fierce kitten. That said, when in a crisis situation, much like when she was in a city being attacked by terrorists, she's perfectly able to keep her head, take charge of the situation and protect as many people as possible. In moments like that, her leadership skills truly shine through.
In a lot of ways, she's just a very calming presence. Her go-to solution is tea and discussing the problem calmly. She's level-headed and even when she gets flustered or embarrassed or angry, it's still in a very quiet, and relatively calm way. She's the Mom Friend--every group needs one, and she's that person.
Even after being betrayed by one of her closest friends, she still can focus enough to put the needs of others first, and she still wants to think the best of him and hope that he had reasons for what he did. She's hurt, yes, but putting herself into other peoples' shoes is a skill she's good at, and it's what makes her such a successful leader and diplomat.
Overall, though, she's just the person who wants to always be there for her friends and the people counting on her. She's a leader, but in a gentle sort of way, and she can always be counted on to give it her all, no matter the situation, and no matter what odds she might face. But she is still a child in a lot of ways; she's 18, still a student, and so she can get embarrassed and flustered and fret about any of the usual things that an 18 year old girl would. She just also frets about terrorism and the protection of students and citizens as she does so--it's just one more thing on her mental to-do list.
ABILITIES:
Towa's a student from a military academy, which means she knows her stuff in a fight; she fights using a gun from a distance, but also possesses what are known in canon as Orbal Arts, and Orbal Crafts. (Get it?)
These Arts allow her to use what would probably be considered magic in other canons; her master quartz focuses on earth and water, which means that she's capable of earth and water spells, as well as basic, minimal healing spells. (And defensive spells and buffs and things that don't translate well to RP so I won't really be using them).
While she'd be capable of swapping out those skills to an extent if she had other quartz, aka handy dandy skill switching gems, she'll have a limited amount of quartz and no way to gain more, so that's a moot point.
(Crafts are just personal skills that look cool, mostly. She shoots things pretty well.)
Otherwise, she's student class president of a huge academy; she's excellent at organizing, and was at one point noted to be better at administrative work than some of the top politicians' secretaries. She's here to Get Things Done.
INVENTORY:
- Orbal gun
- a handful of quartz for her master quartz -- these are water, healing and earth spells primarily
- Notebook and pen
MEMORY ALTERATION: Towa will believe that she was originally sent here to transfer from Thors, which is a godforsaken mess at her current canon point--but the transfer went wrong and into the ocean she goes.
