you can't spell "alone" without "leon" ([personal profile] discard) wrote in [community profile] realpolitik 2015-12-13 04:31 am (UTC)

[There probably should be something. Some sort of explosion. Some sort of backing up. Something. But Leon is exhausted at this point. Their brief moment of respite before feels like it's been entirely undone now by the tension in the air, and the way that all of this has come crashing down on the both of them. It's emotional, heavily so, and Leon doesn't know how to handle it.

So even though some of the tenseness eases out of his shoulders when Stahn apologizes, metaphorically backing up and giving Leon some space to deal with things, he's still utterly exhausted. It feels, in a way, as though he just went through some incredibly difficult battle somehow, even though it's obvious that he has not.

It's strange. He still doesn't know what to make of it.

Either way, because of that, when Stahn's head brushes against his own, Leon tenses up, but he doesn't pull away. He's just... too tired to do so now. He's too tired to kick up a fuss. Especially after he caved to Stahn, and practically admitted that he'd rather be close to Stahn instead of further away--

(He doesn't want to be far away right now.)

So instead, he just... lifts his head ever so slightly, trying to pick up his gaze to see Stahn's expression, if nothing else. So much has happened that he feels... well, lost. Maybe Stahn will have a clue about what's going on here, and then Leon can take his cues from there.

(He wasn't really expecting their faces to be this close together, though, and he freezes instead.)]
