Stahn says that he'd lay down his life to protect Judas and his family, but Judas knows full well--if that time ever came, he'd throw himself forward to take the blow immediately. This is already his third chance at living--two full chances more than most people get.
He's been blessed with it. It's been a good life, even if only a few months so far, and he's grateful. He's certainly not taking it for granted.
But he also knows that it is not worth more than Stahn's life. And he'd give it up in a heartbeat for Stahn.
