[Now, Morgan is a generally pleasant soul. She's all smiles and warmth and kindness (of a sort). Very little bothers her, and insults roll right off her back.
But.
She does fiercely love her friends.
Nah came with her to this shop, and has been helping her here. And now this stuck up shopkeeper is standing there, threatening Nah with something utterly unacceptable, and Morgan takes the swat of a broom without flinching, and stands up very deliberately, brushing herself off, and placing herself between the shopkeeper and Nah.
And then, tone lilting but equally deliberate:]
Hey, Mister. You shouldn't say things like that. It sounds pretty threatening, you know? And when you threaten people like Nah, then I have to say things like "I'll burn your face off before I let you do anything like try to sell her away", and stuff like that! And then nothing is nice.
[Oh.
The words process, and the shopkeep hesitates, and it's like a switch flips; Morgan grabs Nah's hand.]
Come on, Nah, let's go! We've got a bunch of things left to do and see!
