[Who knows why this is even happening.
Something went terribly wrong in these woods, really, but in places where reality bends, reality bends hard. And reality bending is enough to, for the moment, bridge the gap between two groups of people exploring the woods (if, admittedly, for very different reasons).
Leon had a Task, and it was a task he was very ready and prepared to accomplish, even if he had to fight his way through hundreds of monsters (doable) and deal with Stahn and Rutee and everyone else without strangling them (less likely) to do it.
What he doesn't expect, however, is to come face to face with not a monster, but a human.
... Probably not hostile...? But he really can't be sure, and it's the work of a moment for Leon to unsheathe his sword, holding it steady before him.]

adam, on the other hand, had a very different reason for being in the woods. he's been struggling lately, a few shifts dropped at the garage and the factory's been closed this week and he has a lot of homework. he's also running out of food and his rent is due next week and he's honestly not sure which one is going to win out here. he sees the way gansey and ronan throw looks at him when his stomach growls or he seems to sway in place for a little and it pisses him off so he's been strung like a wire and what does adam parrish do when he's strung like a wire?
he goes take a walk in the woods, obviously.
so yeah he's been stomping through the woods for a few hours now, ignoring the concerned whispers of latin and pretending to misunderstand them. shut up cabeswater, he's busy trying to angst!! it's when he turns a corner and the whispers stop that he's suddenly thrown... off.
and then someone's shouting at him!! fuck you!!
he turns and looks in bewilderment at leon, eyebrows furrowed and lips pursed. he probably looks a bit of a sight -- dirty sneakers (one of them untied), frayed and worn jeans, frayed and worn t-shirt, shoulders tense and hands shoved in his pockets. he's also got mud on his face, his shirt, and the bottom of his jeans. where did that mud come from? it's the natural state of adam parrish, actually.
there's going to be a long awkward moment here where adam just stares at leon before shaking his head and uh.
