[Who knows why this is even happening.

Something went terribly wrong in these woods, really, but in places where reality bends, reality bends hard. And reality bending is enough to, for the moment, bridge the gap between two groups of people exploring the woods (if, admittedly, for very different reasons).

Leon had a Task, and it was a task he was very ready and prepared to accomplish, even if he had to fight his way through hundreds of monsters (doable) and deal with Stahn and Rutee and everyone else without strangling them (less likely) to do it.

What he doesn't expect, however, is to come face to face with not a monster, but a human.

... Probably not hostile...? But he really can't be sure, and it's the work of a moment for Leon to unsheathe his sword, holding it steady before him.]

[ whoa hey nooo touching, no. adam jerks back from leon's grab, knocking his arm out of the way with his own and taking a step back. he levels a glare at the guy because this is not his job!!

There was the possibility that you were a threat. [there's another pause as he inspects Adam quite plainly.

And then he scoffs.]

[Leon crosses his arms, arching an eyebrow in full huffiness.]

[ adam's pretty sure that that was supposed to be condescending but he's not... like... trying to fight this guy here so why would he care? instead he just frowns even more and decides to adapt one of ronan's tricks.

he stares at leon.

[Leon would like to win this staring contest, but despite popular belief, Leon doesn't actually do well with silence that he doesn't instigate.

So he shifts after a moment, scowling.]

[ adam's also not as thick skinned as ronan so he just frowns.

BUT NO SHUT UP HE'S GOING TO KEEP STARING. he's determined now. leave him alone, leon. he's going to stare until you do it. fuck you, he can do this. ]

[Nope, he's not going to take this at all. Leon lifts his chin; it's a haughty sneer, but it'd...probably work better if he had a few more inches of height on him.]

I want answers, and your own inability to answer the simplest of questions is not going to stop me from getting them! Now answer me!

[ see, adam's used to sneers from short people because he hangs out with blue but also, he doesn't know leon. leon strikes him as a bit of an asshole (but this is also adam -- everyone is an asshole to adam) so this is just going to get worse.
