A Foxy Jerk | 046

[A;

You're probably just going about your business, doing your typical-business-like things. But you may notice eventually that it feels like--well, like you're being watched.

And that's because there's a jerk in a white suit, white top hat and cane who is staring at you.

And if you notice him, then he's just going to smile even wider and lean his weight on his cane, beckoning you closer. y/n/dear god n?

CREEPER'S GONNA CREEP.]

[B;

OR if you're feeling more positive about this entire thing, you could just come across a tiny white fox looking oh-so-adorable as it basks in the pseudo-sunshine.

This isn't a plotted thing at all, oh no. He's just innocently basking.

Obviously.]

[ the point, the canary thinks, is that even people who have no reason to lie lie anyway, and people who do have reason to lie don't. it's one of those interesting paradoxes of life. still, it's not like he thinks this werewolf is lying.

it's just that, well.

they say a wolf and a bird see the world in very different ways. ]

Wolves are pack creatures. They depend on their friends, and are surrounded by family. Foxes know the meaning of being solitary, with naught but their wits to keep them company.

This may just be one of my wrongful presumptions, but you seem to fit a fox more. Mister fox. I have no doubt that you have no reason at all to lie, but this is simply my impression.

[ the twittering of birds do not cease simply because the wolf barks at the trees, however. this bird, especially-- does not know fear, nor the natural order of things. and even if it knew, it most likely would not care. ]

Whoever said that I was a virtuous bird who cared about consequences? If I were, would I be here baiting you?

Would it? [ an amused pause. ] Did you suddenly become hungry? Mister fox.

I can't see how you would accomplish that without eating me. Though it wouldn't work anyway. A person can only put another in their place if they knew where that place is to begin with.

[ he breathes out again, and another bird peels out from his skin. this one flutters unsteadily, before catching the wind with its wings. it takes off, and lands on the branches of a nearby tree. ] You wouldn't know where I belong.

[ :V tweet tweet motherfucker ]

Mm, it's true. It doesn't. But aren't we all in a state of ignorance? Ah, I just realized-- if you end up teaching me something, it'll be a little like the blind leading the blind.

Really? You've said quite a bit, but nothing of real weight or value. Mister fox.

I'm afraid if I didn't speak for you, I wouldn't know what the point was.

[ whatchu gonna do about it huh ]
