[It's been a long journey to this city. Not that it's his destination--Kibougahana City, was it...?--but nonetheless, he can't deny that it might not hurt to take a short break. Ichigen-sama always did say that he needed to take it easy sometimes so he didn't overdo it, because that wouldn't help anyone.

Except...more poetic.

Because Ichigen-sama is the most poetic of all.

He's taken to the rooftops like batman the slightly anti-social soul he is, but at some point, he notices that there's this old lady who needs help crossing the street, and leaving her to do it on her own would just not be honorable at all, and then there's a cat in a tree and it reminds him of Neko a bit, and then--

He's walking along, passing by a school, and honestly feeling very satisfied with how the day went (even if he hasn't gotten any closer to the end of his journey, sometimes it's the journey itself that is really important, right?) when he steps on something.

Something that goes crunch.

He freezes. This was clearly the first meeting that was meant to be.]

[ He had been an odd young man, but he'd been civil enough and departed without a fuss, and Yuri had new glasses, so all was well.

Or all should have been well. There was a familiar presence in the gardens, one Tsubomi had been thrilled to see, and the visiting had lasted awhile. Now, on her way back, she spots DAT HAIR flopped by the river.

We won't go into detail as to how long it took Yuri to actually go over there, but once she ascertains that he most definitely has a fever-- she'll lightly shake his shoulder. ]

The shaking of his shoulder gets him to stir a little, but he doesn't open his eyes yet--he mumbles, but quietly, something that can't quite be made out and what sounds like the tail end of 'Ichigen-sama'.

Yeah he really should have rested, huh. What a dummy.]

[ This is so not proper protocol, but she can't really risk transforming right now, so she'll shake his shoulder once more before she attempts to sit him up. If she has to drag him a ways, well.

She's had worse to deal with. ]

[Thankfully, this time he wakes up properly--and abruptly. His eyes snap open, and he looks around rather sharply, trying to get a grasp on where he is and why.

...And then he focuses on her.]

You're...Tsukikage Yuri.

[Because you're dumb, Kuroh.]

You have a fever. Here is hardly the best place to tend to it.

[ She might be vaguely irritated. ]

[Ah.......this is true. His master would not be pleased by this at all.

Hm. He shifts to try to stand, wobbly but determined.]

[ There's a hand at his elbow now as Yuri rises, a lot less wobbly. ]

[ She's not his king, but that sure was an order. ]

[That...that sure was a determined order right there. He's not given much time to refuse, though, because he's much too busy focusing on not pitching onto his face.

Okay. Follow the nice lady, recover, then find Shiro.]

...I apologize for the intrusion. I will not take much of your time.

You will take as much time as necessary as it is for you to recover. You'll only inconvenience me more if you push yourself and delay that recovery time.

[ And for as harsh as that sounds, she's still a steadying source at his side and she's taking it slow as she leads him towards her home. ]

[...Very harsh. Somehow, he feels a bit like a scolded puppy. He's not even a puppy. But right now he sure does feel like one.

Master was right, as always. He should have rested first. But he was so hopeful upon hearing those rumors, that perhaps it truly was Shiro...

It would be worth running himself into the ground for that. He should respond. Right. Okay.]

[ The Black Puppy, yep. She's quiet for the rest of the way, calling out to an empty place once she gets there-- her mother's still out, it seems.

There's a spare futon, one they'd used when Momoka had insisted on all-night study sessions (or sleepovers, really), and once she has Kuroh seated on the couch, she prepares it and fluffs up a pillow. ]

Use that, please. I'll get you some water.

[He feels bad that she's setting everything up. He should be doing that. He's good at that sort of thing. He could definitely set up the futon-- but by the time he's thought that out, she already has. So he's obedient enough, quietly settling himself onto the futon, lying back without a fuss.

Now that he's already caused this much trouble... he'll do his best to recover as soon as possible. And...then he'll return the favor somehow. There must be some sort of thing he can do to help her out in return.

But for now, the Black Puppy is thoroughly whipped, tail between his legs.]

[ At least he's behaving, and she'll return with a glass of water and a cold cloth to place on his forehead. ]

You should focus on resting, for now. You can eat something a little later.

[He'll behave as much as possible, because he can't believe that he's causing her even more trouble.

But after a few moments pass in which he's considering those circumstances (WOEFUL CIRCUMSTANCES), he blinks up at her. Wow the fever must've been pretty good that it took him this long.]

You were able to obtain new glasses. [...] I'm glad.

I told you, didn't I? There was no need to worry. [ but her lips will twitch in a small smile, anyway. ]

[He'll admit that much...even if his energy is starting to the flag a bit, he hardly seems to notice, too.]

... Do you still need to sleep? With your fever this high...

[ well. He's likely not going anywhere. ]

I will rest and recover... the only way to return to full health is to rest.

I'm afraid I picked up the habit of caring for others some time ago. It's not something I can easily cast aside now.

[Ah..... that's praise he wasn't expecting, honestly. He tries very hard, yes, but people don't always seem to notice. Mostly because he runs around on his own silly quests like this without saying a word.]
