[It's been a long journey to this city. Not that it's his destination--Kibougahana City, was it...?--but nonetheless, he can't deny that it might not hurt to take a short break. Ichigen-sama always did say that he needed to take it easy sometimes so he didn't overdo it, because that wouldn't help anyone.

Except...more poetic.

Because Ichigen-sama is the most poetic of all.

He's taken to the rooftops like batman the slightly anti-social soul he is, but at some point, he notices that there's this old lady who needs help crossing the street, and leaving her to do it on her own would just not be honorable at all, and then there's a cat in a tree and it reminds him of Neko a bit, and then--

He's walking along, passing by a school, and honestly feeling very satisfied with how the day went (even if he hasn't gotten any closer to the end of his journey, sometimes it's the journey itself that is really important, right?) when he steps on something.

Something that goes crunch.

He freezes. This was clearly the first meeting that was meant to be.]

[ ... Kuroh, of all the times for her to realize that you have odd magical powers, now is-- actually a good time, but knowing that beforehand would have prevented her from some matter of alarm!!

As it stands, Yuri is still somewhat concerned, staring at him with a mixture of bewilderment and dismay. ]

Yatogami-san, now isn't really the time-- [ as the monster charges again, actually. ]

[Look, he just had to let her know! She might have been worried about it. But she's right in that it's otherwise not the time, so he'll continue to wear that very feminine bag as he reacts automatically.]

[The words are automatic on his lips, but he's never really had much of a grasp on personal space, so he's quick to try to grab her in what's an attempt at a princess carry--so he can jump right over the monster, rather nimbly hopping off of its head.

Monsters... who would've thought.]

[socolognely]

[ WOW THE LAST THING(???) THAT CARRIED HER WAS A DERPY-LOOKING MUPPET FAIRY EXCUSE YOU-- wait he said that, so she can't really accuse him of being rude, but all the same, Yuri lets out an undignified noise (not a yelp, Cure Moonlight Does Not Yelp) to find herself in his surprisingly strong arms and flying.

To her credit, she does not wrap her arms around his neck and throttle him. ]

Wh-- put me down! We can't defeat it like this!

[arbitrament]

[And to his credit, he does put her down immediately then--they have some time before the monster manages to turn around completely and lumber at them again, at least.

Kuroh tilts his head at her, completely serious.]

I was unaware that monster hunting was a skill of yours.

[Honestly he was unaware about monsters in general but. You live and learn. His hold on his sword tightens, but...well, he doesn't reach for the blade.]

I am prepared to follow your lead.

[socolognely]

[ She really doesn't want to do this in front of him, but unfortunately... she kind of has to. He's already demonstrated unusual abilities, so that part shouldn't be an issue.

There's a pause, and then Yuri sighs under her breath and steps forward. ]

Precure-- Open My Heart!!

[ the following ensues. ]

[That....that sure happened. He's used to taking things in stride but this is...well, rather ridiculous.

... ... ... ah.

What???? He can't deny that there is something inherently graceful and elegant about the transformation, but there's nothing about it he understands.

What is a magical girl, how do they work?]

[ The world may never know-- but the Precure Formerly Known As Yuri isn't going to bother explaining now, instead rocketing forward to plant one delicate heel against the monster.

... Which inexplicably sends it FLYING BACK. ]

[That's...quite the blow too. There it goooooes. Kuroh has the sense to at least fling his hand outward at that, phantom limb catching the creature before it can crash into anything and cause any property damage--though he's going to let it work as a rubber band, flinging it right back towards them.

Mostly her though.

He figures that with her apparent reactions and athleticism, she can handle it just fine.]

[ She appreciates his care for their surroundings, and it's why she's ready, flying up in order to kick it down. It's half-submerged in the river, but now she turns to Kuroh. ]

Can you hold it down?

[arbitrament]

Yes.

[Immediately, he lifts his hand, that same telekinetic hand appearing, only to swing to that submerged monster.

It's easy then to press straight down, slamming it down further into the river without hesitation.]

That is no problem.

[They could be discussing the weather with as calm as they both are...]

[socolognely]

[ Yuri grants him a brief nod, before her Tact appears in her hand in a burst of silver light. And with some chanting that certain people are too embarrassed to type out, she'll be striking that monster with a larger beam of light and purifying it.

Surely, Kuroh wanted to hear a giant monster go AWAWAWAWA in bliss. ]

[NO....... he didn't need to see any of that honestly.

But it sure was a thing that happened.

He lowers his hand slowly as everything seems to be basically over with, blinking slowly. Ah. Oh....okay...]

[socolognely]

[ Time for a hair flip, before she turns to him. ]

... Thank you for your assistance, Yatogami-san.

[arbitrament]

It was my pleasure... though you clearly did not need it.

[Which is only a little surprising, when he thinks about it honestly.

She's always come across as someone with a lot of inner strength. Who's surprised that it becomes outer strength? Not him.]

[socolognely]

You helped protect this city [ from property damage ] and it's very much appreciated.

... Although there shouldn't be monsters like that anymore...

[He wasn't aware there were monsters like that period, honestly....]

[He really can't hesitate on his search for Shiro, but at the same time...she was kind to him, and helped him, and he knows the Silver King would want him to repay that.

(And he wants to repay it as well, if something is wrong in this pleasant city.)]

... No. [ with a softer, reassuring smile. ] The Precure will handle it, so you shouldn't worry.

I would repay the hospitality you and this city have shown me, and defend it as well.

[socolognely]

[ Give the girl a moment to look more like herself, with a flash of silvery light once again-- and then she'll blink. ]

I could not report to my king guiltlessly if I knew I had left such a problem in your hands alone.

[He's gotta help!! He's honor-bound.

I'm not alone... [ with a soft, semi-exasperated smile. ] I know better than to think that.

[arbitrament]
