[it's not like he can't hear the whining from the bathroom. There's the sound of the faucet as Leon cleans off his hand, and then he quirks an eyebrow at the sound of Stahn's whine.

He sure does have a lot to learn, because he doesn't even see anything wrong with what he did.

Still, a moment later he reappears, hands now clean, and tilts his head vaguely at Stahn even as he wanders back over to sit on the bed.]

What is it now?

[he thought that went pretty well, why are you whining!!!]

[he's whining because he has a reason to whine! of course, the first thing stahn's actually doing is reaching out his hand to tug leon back towards him.]

...You left too soon. [that sure is stahn's complaint right now. and he does sincerely sound disappointed that leon was so quick to get up and walk away after that. he wanted to share a few more kisses and embrace the moment before anything else...

it feels strangely cold to have leon touch him so intimately, to kiss him in such a warm loving way—and then he just gets up and walks away like it's nothing.

yeah, that part feels kind of crappy.]

[O....h??? Leon wasn't actually expecting that at all; he doesn't fight it when Stahn pulls him closer, but he's frowning a little to himself too.

He thought he'd done well, but he actually messed it up at the end....which isn't a good feeling for him either, considering how intent he was on successfully doing this for Stahn.

So, awkwardly and a little stiffly because apologies still don't come naturally to him--]

I...see. I was not aware that that-- rather.

...I will make certain it does not happen again.

[oh.

okay, well.

he didn't want leon to actually feel bad about it. so stahn... well, stahn has to be stahn about things. he pushes himself to sit upright finally, and follows it up by wrapping leon into a hug.]

Everything else... it felt really good. Really good. [he assures, quietly. his voice is warmer and less disappointed—he wants to make sure leon understands fully that everything else was amazing.]

You... I felt what you want to tell me. [that he's worth it, that he's the only one for leon, that this is love.]

...I just wanted more of that. For it... it to not be over so quickly. [he hopes that leon will understand what he means. that the warmth and the feeling of love gets a bit stunted when he just abruptly leaves like that.]

[Well...that admittedly helps. The pride in him wars with the part of him that legitimately is pleased to hear that reassurance; he doesn't like to have to make Stahn reassure him, because he likes to pretend he doesn't need it--

But in this case, he'll take it. Quietly, he nods, because...well, he's pleased. He's pleased that Stahn thought it felt good. He's pleased that Stahn understood what he was getting at.

So he doesn't pull away as Stahn pulls him into a hug, instead just resting his chin on Stahn's shoulder for a moment. And...an almost embarrassed mutter, because he feels like maybe that should've been obvious to him, but it didn't even cross his mind--]

... I will keep that in mind for the next time.

... It was better to be safe than sorry. I had not had any idea how much time had passed when I first--

[... He shakes his head, clearing his throat. It's easier to focus on Stahn's gushing anyway, even if it's kind of embarrassing.]

Regardless, it was something worth learning, so naturally I learned it.

[SIMPLE AS THAT.]

At the very least, you did not stay stagnant throughout those years either.

Mm... It'll be fine. Even better, I bet.

[stahn hums quietly, holding leon this way for a moment before trying to guide him to lay down. stahn really wasn't ready to give up on the sweeter sentiment when leon decided to pull away, so he's going to take advantage of it now.

even if he's still undressed with leon is fully clothed. he doesn't want to waste the euphoric feeling. he want to press a kiss to leon's lips—so he does, acting on it and conveying a silent thank you for expressing his love so passionately.

but after that, he'll shift slightly to bring his mouth towards leon's ear, as if to mutter a secret to him.]

I didn't know you'd... be so good at that. [okay, so maybe stahn isn't really done yet here, either. oops.]

[...ah.

okay, stahn could see what judas is thinking in this case at least, so he only nods his head in understanding, allowing the topic to shift completely to what judas is saying.]

Mm, I couldn't. I had to learn a lot once Dymlos is gone. I told you, right? I... I need to be able to protect my family, no matter what.

[Well.... Leon's not entirely sure about laying back down, and if Stahn hadn't been a total kicked puppy about the getting up and leaving thing, he might've resisted. But she he was a kicked puppy about it... Leon just sighs and goes along with it, allowing Stahn to drag him properly back into bed even though it's getting late in the morning.

Still, the kiss is nice... and he can feel a shiver begin when Stahn brings his mouth to Leon's ear and murmurs--

... ... ... and the shiver dies right there because he's not really super sure how he should take something like that.

"YEAH ME NEITHER" is probably not a viable answer.]

... Yes, well. It is not as though the mechanics of it are particularly difficult.

[Stop taking literally all of the romance out of this moment, Leon.]

There's no need to be so surprised. Naturally I can do anything I put my mind to.

[He says, more awkwardly than with bravado this time.]

[It's a very Stahn sentiment, if nothing else; Leon quirks an eyebrow at him before shrugging vaguely and starting on their path again. It's not like a fight like that was capable of winding either of them.]

Yes, I suppose that is unsurprising. It is...

[He's quiet for a moment, before--]

It is truly no wonder I saw so much of you in Kyle.

[In everything he did--but also in his fighting style.]

this kid needs to learn to work on his pillow talk a bit. though maybe that's fine. for a moment, stahn scrunches his nose—does leon always have to be so clinical about things? how could he have been so sweet and romantic and full of love...

and then flip it around to be to arrogant-sounding, like it was only natural that despite inexperience, he could nail that so easily...

normally, stahn likes that.

he likes leon's confidence.

but right now... it makes everything feel so tempting.]

—Did you feel anything? [maybe it's not too surprising that stahn's next words sound both teasing and challenging. he wants to know, because he had no way of looking or checking for himself at the time.

was leon excited by it? did he feel that same warmth straight to his core? did he want to be touched in return, was he feels stifled by the fact that everything came to an end?

if he did, could stahn fix that?

if he didn't, could stahn make him want it?

it doesn't seem fair that leon got to be the only one in control. it may have been fun, and stahn is unwillingly willing to do things like that again. but he's not the only one who wants to elicit responses. can he make leon groan, grip the sheets, dig his fingers into stahn's skin? could he do that again without doing things as they were last night?

...stahn wants to know. he's as unsure as he is curious, so he's baiting a response right now.]

[st least stahn's ready to carry on, too. there's no reason they can't keep walking while they have this conversation.]

I guess he is a lot like me... I can see it. And everyone says it too, that he's just the same.

He's not sure what Stahn's getting at here, but there's no ignoring the fact that (inwardly), it does give Leon something to think about. Did he feel anything...?

... Of course he did.

The noises Stahn had been making were obscene. The look of Stahn naked on the bed, blissed out and focused on nothing but Leon's actions and words, had been far beyond gratifying, it'd been downright enjoyable.

And, of course, there's always the way that Stahn groaned his name...

Leon breathes out as steadily as he can, and clears his throat.]

Naturally, I... felt something. It is not as though I am incapable of it.

[On the other hand, admitting just how much he felt seeing Stahn like that is not in Leon's plans; he thinks that would be embarrassing.]

... Not the same.

[Judas shakes his head at that, crossing his arms even as he continues. At least the day is pleasant for a trip like this.]

You are both very similar, yes. And he has clearly learned a great deal of his fighting style from you. But even so, you are both distinctly different as well.

I wasn't asking if you were capable.

[he knows leon is capable, because the night before proved that. he wants to know if the position they were in just a few minutes ago was enough for him. he wants to know if leon needs or wants release too.

because... well, frankly, it's what stahn wants right now. rather than shift to kiss leon's lips, he plants a chaste but teasing kiss right at leon's earlobe, hands shifting and moving out of a hug to tease at the waistline of leon's pants.

what stahn says next is completely earnest, but there's little doubting that there's something provacative about it as well.]

I want you to feel good too.

Mm... I think so too. He's his own person, after all.

[it doesn't change that other people say that though. but stahn heaves a quiet breath, and points out one of those things he rarely speaks of.]

Maybe he doesn't remember it all, but I know his journey changed him a lot. I can see that in him every day.

That went from 0 to 60 real fast, and Leon blinks as Stahn's hands shift down to the waistline of his pants, face heating up a little despite himself. He clears his throat again, trying not to sound as mildly overwhelmed as he legitimately is, because...well, that hadn't been the point behind this, right? Even if... even if the way Stahn says those words sends a thrill through him, even if part of him is honestly curious as to what Stahn would do, and what Stahn's thinking....

(Even if part of him likes it when Stahn takes charge like this, in his own way.)

... It's still not the point of their morning activities, and after drawing in a somewhat shaky breath, he'll say so.]

I... it is not as though it's necessary. I proved my point, and that...was all that needed to be done.

[... ... .... on the other hand, though, Stahn's hands are awfully tempting, aren't they? Even if Leon's really honestly not sure if he's ready for this, because he's been blindsided--he sincerely wasn't expecting Stahn to just...go for it like this.]

[It's true. Judas could never deny that, even if he wanted to (which he doesn't). Instead, he nods easily enough.]

It did. He grew quite a bit from start to end.

[Judas is quiet for a moment before he shakes his head, amused and fond.]

He did well. He grew up well, and continues to grow well.

[it's true, stahn is the one taking charge now. leon lit a fire in him this way, and even though there was brief respite when stahn recovered from his own bliss...

he doesn't want to be the only one on the receiving end of a good time. there's nothing stahn wants more than to make leon happy, than to make him feel as good as leon made him feel. so he'll plant kisses from leon's ear and down his jawline until he teases at the lips.

his hands remain in that precarious position too, teasing but not quite touching anything but the lower part of leon's stomach with a touch as featherlight as what leon did to him earlier. he doesn't kiss yet, either.]

That's not true. [he murmurs, fingers still teasing at his skin.] It's not fair if you're the only one who gets all the fun, Leon.

[this time, stahn is the one teasing, deliberately using that name instead. it's necessary, because stahn wants him to feel good. he wants to make leon happy, and he wants to prove his own worth in return. he wants to have a little control since he wasn't allowed any before.

he wants to make leon squirm and writhe with pleasure, he wants to see if he can get leon to say his name in that same manner.

it's times like these when stahn's fiery nature comes out; he's hot-blooded and passionate, and as competitive as he his loving; he'll feel like he's on the losing end of things if they just get on with their day.

(and he'll show leon just what to do when they're finished, so he can ensure he knows for himself how it works.)]

[stahn is proud of them both, honestly. judas has grown just as much as kyle, and when he turns his head and sees that amused, fond expression...

he knows.]

I'm glad you were there to see it. And I'm glad you were there for him when I couldn't be. [stahn laughs a little, fondly, though it's more to himself than anything else.] I know you won't agree, but that's just as good as replacement to me. For it to be you watching him in my place.

[Leon's ready for the kiss, too. His body reacts immediately, shifting and somewhat pliant with those kisses, tilting his head up for a better angle for that kiss--because he likes them. He likes kissing Stahn, just as Stahn likes kissing him, but instead of pressing their lips together, Stahn just pauses there, and Leon's expression twists every so slightly, lips quirking downwards into a frown.

He's not sure he's about this life, Stahn!!!

Stahn's fingers, though, sure are distracting even so. The skin there is sensitive, unused to being touched even with their activities from the night before, and Leon breathes out a shuddery breath. Hm...

He can honestly not say he's ever heard this tone from Stahn before. Usually, when he's teasing or joking around, it's a lot lighter than this--but there's a legitimate edge to this teasing, a provocative edge that sends Leon's mind right to the gutter.

He swallows, tightly, and when he speaks, his tone is a bit more strained.]

Don't...act as though you didn't want it that way. I was simply responding to your challenge.

[That's all... but this teasing half-in half-out is driving Leon crazy, and he's silent for a moment longer before he just huffs out a short breath, all sharpness and frankness, but an edge of want as well.]

If you have some sort of inclinations of something to do to me, get on with it. I do not intend to spend all day in bed.

[And...well, this is driving him crazy.]

I absolutely don't agree.

[Unsurprisingly, just as Stahn said he wouldn't... but the thought that Judas could be a stand-in for Stahn is absurd.]

Don't be ridiculous. I was there, yes, but mostly to keep him from throwing his foolhardy self into trouble. The rest was due to your influence on him, or his own personality and beliefs.

I don't know... If you're just going to demand I do it, it's not as fun.

["get on with it," isn't exactly inviting. of course, stahn doesn't actually have any intention of stopping. but that still doesn't stop him from pulling back a little to pout at leon.

granted, he does hear the edge of desire in stahn's voice, but even at his worst, he can't actually press on without being sure that leon wants this. so maybe the look on his face is a bit quizzical.

he wants to do this.

he wants to make leon feel good, and he wants to try his best to do something different to make him feel even better (though he's still not even sure what yet), but he can't think of letting his hand drift anywhere else without explicit consent.

but still, stahn is now lowering himself a bit so their lips lightly meet, almost pleading.] I want to be able to do the same thing for you. So you can feel as good as I do.

[in the end, stahn is still a sap. much as he would like to be so commanding, to just pin leon to the bed completely, strip him down and touch him everywhere...

leon has to be willing, he can't actually push that boundary again when leon says things so... vague...]

That counts for something!

[stahn will be stahn, and that's why he throws an arm over judas' shoulder.

because, you know. fuck boundaries.]

You made sure he didn't get hurt, and you made sure he wouldn't do something he would regret. That's what matters to me in the end.

At any other time, Leon would probably be endeared by Stahn's inability to do anything without explicit consent. It's very Stahn, and it's also very sweet. He's so focused on trying to make sure that Leon has a good time while also not feeling uncomfortable, and it's just...

... Well, it doesn't suit the mood.

Leon had wanted Stahn to take control. The teasing, the provocation--it had all been tantalizing, and now that Stahn's pulling back, being a sap and being so Stahn, Leon can't help the way he snorts under his breath, reaching up with a hand to bury his fingers into Stahn's hair and drag him forcefully into a proper kiss, overcoming the light meeting of their lips with something far more thorough.

At the same time, his free hand slides down to Stahn's still there hovering at the edge of his waistline, and guides it slightly further down.

And when he pulls away from the kiss, tone breathy and hoarse, it's to meet Stahn's eyes with all of the daring he can muster, quirking an eyebrow just as he would in sparring practice when he was trying to get Stahn to take the next step or grow, when he was trying to drag Stahn into having the confidence to try.]

Then show me that you can.

[If that's what Stahn wants--then Leon wants to see it, and now that they've gotten this far? He doesn't really intend to hold back either, and he doesn't want to see Stahn hold back.]

Don't leave me waiting.
