[It's a bit like kicking a puppy, and Leon should by rights feel bad (in a way, he does feel a little bad, but he squashes that feeling under his metaphorical heel too), but it's not enough to stop him from stalking away a good few paces before that voice reaches him.

"Wait".

Why should he? He has no obligation; it would be so easy to just keep walking away, to make his way back and bury himself in their mission and focus only on that until he's out of the company of people like this, who make him think about things that are uncomfortable, who make him focus on things that he'd already thought would be easiest kept locked away.

Even so.

He waits. He doesn't turn around, but he halts in step.]
