[He's exhausted.

It's been an intense couple of months, and it feels as though the situation will only get worse somehow--worse and worse, and Minato has no idea what to expect. Strega is still out there. The Dark Hour still exists. The Arcana Shadows are gone, but...at what cost?

What was Ikutsuki rambling about, before the end?

Junpei's exhausted and depressed, the entire dorm dark and quiet and respectful of his mourning, and Minato's still shaken too from how close it was--how close he came to losing yet another teammate, and friend.

So he hops on the train. Akira probably won't mind a visit, right...? They get along well enough, and he thinks Akira would probably understand if Minato just needs a day away from the oppressive atmosphere of how much everyone has lost over the past two months.

He pushes open the door to the cafe quietly, but... well, the silence is almost more stifling over here, and his brow furrows a bit, even as he glances at Sojiro behind the counter.

UM...]

Is Akira around...?

[Now would probably be a good time to get interrupted before Sojiro tells this punk he doesn't really know well that Akira's TOTALLY DEAD.

(Minato probably should've texted first.)]

[He's down if Akira is. It sounds nice and peaceful.]

[he likes feeling a friendship!! it reminds him that he has places to belong now. reminds him that he doesn't have to worry about that crushing loneliness that had followed him after his initial arrest]

I only have retro games, but I hope your Power Intuition skills are top notch.

[At the very least, this is a little soothing...and he knows that Akira will be able to relax while they play. They both only brushed the surface of everything, he knows--but maybe just being able to talk about it a little was enough for them both.

It seems likely, honestly.

Now...they'll be able to keep on moving forward. Just as they need to, because that's the sort of leaders they are.]

[but he deposits the ice pack into Minato's lap and finally moves (although, in doing so, he flinches and sucks in a sharp breath as his leg complains). he slides off the bed and pulls out two chairs in front of the television. one for each of them]

[plops into one of the chairs! look, he did as Minato said]

I beat you to it.

[holds a controller out to him with a smile]

[The worst!! Totally the worst in all ways.

Minato will take that controller though, sitting in the other chair and just vaguely shaking his head at Akira.]

Here, take your ice back.

[Just plopping that right back onto Akira's lap.]

[an amused snort, but he picks up the ice pack and slips it under his shirt so he can ice his stomach bruises again]

[There Minato is, getting his ass kicked ten ways from Sunday, thanks, Akira.

He's not terrible at it, especially as he improves and picks it up but.

He still can't compete at all with Akira.

He's not a sore loser, though, so at least he takes those losses relatively peacefully and seems to be content to play so long as Akira's having fun.]
