[It's really not uncommon at all for him to be tossed into a jail cell. It's part of the job hazard--of being a thief, that is.
If they don't try to cut off his hand, he'll be fine. If they do, he'll make a quick and hasty exit.
Simple.
So he's brushing himself off after having been rudely shoved on in there, but he recognizes pretty quickly that he's not alone in this cell.
Still, he doesn't speak until he's brushed off every speck of imaginary dust off, and then he crosses his arms behind his head and comments lazily without even looking--]
I wasn't expecting to have such nice company when I was thrown in here.
