State of the RP;

state of the rp: general
Actually, RP-wise, overall I'm feeling pretty fantastic! I'm really happy where I am, but I'm not overwhelmed with tags, and I don't know if this happy balance will last, but for now it really makes me feel good about RP.

That said, if I could find one lighthearted, fun game to join, I'd probably jump at the chance. I adore Haven to bits, but it's really dark sometimes, and a chill and silly game would balance that out beautifully.

Overall though, despite the busy nature of RL, RP is balancing out really well, and I'm happy about that!
Haven
state of the game
Haven really does feel like a home game right now. It's sort of a crazy feeling, because I didn't know if I'd find another home game after Somarium/Vatheon, and yet here we are! Everyone is so open and welcoming, the game is bustling with people and plots, and I'm really happy to tag as many different people as I can. It's great to try to build wonderful and interesting CR, and everyone is so open to plotting!

Basically, I'm in love with Haven and will hopefully be here for a very long time yet.

age: ~16-17ish
series: Fire Emblem: Awakening
time played: 5 months! Time sure flies by.

This is only not at full strength because it's been awhile since I've looked through her supports; while I think I have her character down just fine, she has a very exact way of speaking that I stumble on sometimes. I'll canon review some more until I'm completely confident, because I love this girl.

cast strength: ■ ■ ■ ■ □

Our cast is fantastic, and honestly, there's not much I could ask for at this point. I would never mind more of the kids, but at this point I really just love everyone in our cast. They're all extremely kind and open to plotting, and it makes for a wonderful cast dynamic, especially in one this big.

plotting capabilities: ■ ■ ■ ■ ■

There is nothing I can't throw Morgan into, and sometimes my attention on March suffers because of it. But Morgan is ridiculous and zany and thus can do the silliest and most lighthearted of things--but she's also a tactician and has her serious moments, so she's not restricted to any one thing. She can defend herself just fine too, though if she no longer has her tomes I'm going to have to figure out what to do with that.

shipping potential: ■ ■ ■ ■ ■

Well, it is Fire Emblem: Ship Wars. Despite her ridiculous nature, she is eligible for shipping, and she has some very cute CR that definitely qualifies. I don't ship anything seriously yet per se, but I certainly wouldn't mind if something developed that way /chinhands

likelihood of drop: □ □ □ □ □

Ahahahaha no. I'm really comfortable in Haven, and Morgan is a great character to play in any game due to her versatility and overall fun. She's not going anywhere for awhile.

development/final thoughts:

I really, really love Morgan.

She bounces back really well from the nasty things Haven throws at her, which is a bit of a relief; I don't really have to worry about her shattering or breaking, at least not yet. Even despite the torture thread, she'll be fine, and she'll be able to pick up the pieces and carry on. That's just the sort of person she is, and that's invaluable in a place like Haven.

I also love how she connects with people, and she never stops being fun. So I don't think I'll run out of things to do with her any time soon.

character: March [[personal profile] xyresic]
age: ...uh. 16/17?
series: March Story
time played: 4 months!

muse strength: ■ ■ ■ ■ □

I worry a lot when I'm playing March. She's a tough character for me, somehow, and it might be that I've honestly never played anyone who's so...shounen. But I've been working really hard at it, and I think I'm finally getting a good grasp on her and her way of speaking. I'll just keep reading the four volumes that are out over and over again. At least it's easy to canon review such a short series.

cast strength: □ □ □ □ □

HAHAHAHA. March will never have a cast and that's a fact. At least she's a very good lone canon warrior. Still, it would be so awesome to have a Rodin and work through those issues, or a Jake to cling to, or Belma to be huffy with...ahhh, I can dream, can't I?

plotting capabilities: ■ ■ ■ ■ □

March actually has neverending plotting capabilities, I just tend to put her on the backburner because Morgan is usually the one to get all up in everyone's business. This event has actually been great in giving March a chance to shine, and I really appreciate that about it. Hopefully I can hold onto this balance, now that I've found it.

shipping potential: ■ □ □ □ □

March is a legitimate mess on this front. She's a cutie-pie and she loves romance and she's such a romantic person--but her crush isn't in Haven, she's pretending to be a boy, and she's got a demon inside of her that will devour her when she falls in love SO. Shipping is probably not going to happen all too easily.

SHE WISHES, THOUGH. OH HOW SHE WISHES.

likelihood of drop: □ □ □ □ □

March isn't going anywhere. She provides a great counterpoint to Morgan, and also, somehow, she's managed to build some really awesome CR in the four months she's been in Haven. So I'd like to hold onto that, because her meaningful CR is really nice after how shallow Morgan can be.

development/final thoughts:

March is an interesting case. She's very much easy to horrify; she's very emotional, and very prone to acting on those emotions. And yet she doesn't really break. She already broke before, back when she was a child, and now...well, it's a little amazing that she's still as emotional as she is.

As far as Haven is concerned, she really hasn't been traumatized too terribly yet, and I'm not sure how she'll react when she is--but at the very least, it'll be interesting, and I'll have to embrace that.

I don't think that there's anything that she won't be able to come back from, considering her past and her life up until Haven, but you never know with someone as emotional and oepn-hearted as March is. Still, so long as I don't back myself into a corner with her development, we should both be fine.
Homeless
state of the game

I JUST REALLY WANT A GAME for these characters. I'd probably only app one or the other, and I'm leaning towards one over the other, but...a lighthearted game with a fun premise and fun people to play with is all I want......

character: Mitsuhide Lowen (Rouen???) [[personal profile] cavaliering]
age: 23 (a character with an actual age oh sweet AnS)
series: Akagami no Shirayukihime
time played: N/A (too short a time, really HELLO BRAND NEW MUSE)

muse strength: ■ ■ ■ □ □

I NEED TO READ THROUGH IT AGAIN--but Mitsuhide hits all of my pings, and he's tons of fun at that. So I'll read through the manga again with a focus on him and gather up my nerves and get more confident in playing him.

cast strength: □ □ □ □ □

Currently N/A but I know of some WONDERFUL PEOPLE I COULD DRAG ALONG AS CASTMATES /chinhands!!!!

plotting capabilities: ■ ■ ■ ■ □

He's competent but silly, a combination that leads to a lot of opportunities and chances in any game, I think, especially one with a lighter premise. He's definitely very mother-hen-y, which is also one of my character types, so he'll probably harass people who need to take care of themselves better. (that's one of my favorite CR types shhhh).

shipping potential: ■ ■ ■ □ □

WELL. He's an adult, not a teenager, so that changes things a little, especially with the general age range of characters in games. also i already ship something for him.

But it wouldn't be impossible, no.

likelihood of drop: □ □ □ □ □

N/A!

development/final thoughts:

Mitsuhide is just a really cute character. I was pinged almost instantly this time reading through AnS, and that probably says something. I have a lovely account for him and beautiful icons thanks to Jan and man, I'd just love to stick him in a game and spread his wings, so to speak. He is a side character, so while he has a lot of characterization in the manga, there's also room to explore and grow, and I love that about a character like him.

Morgan and March are very well-defined in their canons, but Mitsuhide would give me room to experiment and play around with his character, and I'd like that a lot.

character: Sonja [[personal profile] joyfully]
age: ...AGES ARE THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE. UM. 16/17/18?
series: Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny
time played: N/A, though I made her journal in 2011, which gives you an idea of how long I've wanted to play her, oops.

muse strength: ■ ■ ■ ■ ■

Sonja is very simple!

Not in a bad way, of course, but she's a very cute and straightforward character and that wouldn't be too hard to play. I've threaded with her off and on since 2011, so I think I'm pretty confident in my portrayal.

Of course, I haven't actually finished the game yet, because Rune Factory, and because I'm super slow, so there is that.

cast strength: □ □ □ □ □

N/A, and Sonja's pretty unlikely to ever get a cast, so that's something to think on too--though she'd be fine on her own if it came to that.

plotting capabilities: ■ ■ ■ ■ □

Sonja is a very peaceful person, so the only thing that I would probably have to avoid with her are fights. Not that she can't hold her own, because she can, but she definitely will avoid them when at all possible. Of course, being Sonja, she offers tons of other plotting opportunities, so that's something lovely.

I've also always wanted to play with Rune Factory game mechanics, so that would be pretty hilarious.

shipping potential: ■ ■ ■ ■ ■

Half of the point of Rune Factory is to pick an eligible bachelor or bachelorette and marry them :'D So. Sonja has a lot of shipping potential, yep. She's an absolute sweetheart, too, so.

likelihood of drop: □ □ □ □ □

N/A!

development/final thoughts:

I've...obviously wanted to play Sonja for a really long time. She's adorable, and sweet, and simple and light-hearted, and that would be the sort of enjoyment I think I'd like. Of course, before I could play her I'd have to finish the game, and Rune Factory is the sort of game that can take dozens of hours to finish every last bit of it. So that's a bit of a disheartening truth--
