[Kiki's injury had really been a matter of bad luck more than anything. She was too skilled for anything else, and Mitsuhide still felt a little bad to see her with that broken arm; it just seemed rather unfair that of all people, someone like Kiki would end up with it.

(There's also the fact that he hates to see her in any sort of pain, of course, but that's a given.)

Still, broken arm or not, Mitsuhide's not surprised to see that Kiki still intends to do plenty of work, though he has to draw the line when he sees her fumbling with her hair clip, walking over to gently pull it from her fingers.

Honestly.]

You don't mind if I help out, right, Kiki?

[There is no answer that will get Kiki out of this.]

[Whatever you were doing, it no longer matters--because now there is a panicked man running down the hill coming straight at you, eyes wide and expression a special sort of horrified (the sort of horrified that comes of knowing that you're in Big Trouble no matter how the situation ends).

He's dressed like a retainer in Western fantasyland, with his sword at his side, but none of that matters as he stretches out a gloved hand and--]

W-wait, stop, that's--

[...well, whatever he was chasing, now he suddenly notices that there's someone in his path, and he tries to stop. But the incline is pretty steep and he's stumbling, and unless someone does something fast, a collision seems inevitable.

Oops.]

[It's a quiet night, and Mitsuhide thrives on quiet nights. It's not quite a party so much as an informal gathering, which is the only reason why Mitsuhide isn't wallflowering it up right now.

Instead, he strolls right up, a drink in his hand (which proves to simply be a glass of water) and a grin on his face.

Because he's friendly.]

Hello--are you enjoying yourself?

[Way too friendly, really.]

[So he sadly didn't hear until much later. Kiki had been assigned to running drills (something she was particularly adept at, considering she could kick the collective asses of the royal guard--) while Mitsuhide, of course, had been at Zen's side.

But when he did hear, he was all panic and concern, leaving Zen without barely waiting for the acknowledgement, to burst into the clinic and--]

Kiki! I heard--are you all right?

[it's probably just a cold, Mitsuhide, chill.]

[It's a dark and rainy night.

Seriously, who thought traveling in weather like this was a good idea...?

Thankfully, at the end of the road, there's always the Clarines castle, inviting to those who need to get out of the storm. Inside is certainly much brighter, bustling with people doing their own tasks and doing them well.

Everyone can be found here, if you look around hard enough. There are even snacks set out, so surely someone intended to eat those but perhaps got sidetracked--

Just don't make a mess. Prince Izana won't be pleased.]
