It...is strange how some things--aren't missed until you encounter them again.

[it definitely feels nostalgic, and hearing judas put it that way brings a warm smile to his face. rather than the boisterous excitement this trip has been giving him, it's more subdued, more like stahn usually is these days.]

I knew I missed it a lot, but now that we can do this again... it feels like some empty piece of me has been filled. [he feels so much more complete this way, because able to fight alongside his best friend without care for anything but the thrill of battle and staying a alive, following it up with casual meals and ever more casual conversations...

But either way, he just nods vaguely in response to that.]

I see. [It's...the same for him, even if he doesn't think he really has the right to say so. After all... he didn't have to bear that missing piece for 18 years like Stahn did.]

[it's a quiet, honest statement. it's always for the better that he's here, and stahn is happy every single day when he wakes up and realizes that judas is part of their family now, where he belongs.]

[no matter how many times he's been called an idiot, this is a situation where he won't concede to being one under any circumstances.]

I am aware that...that is still a period of time that I have not completely grasped yet.

I know... it's different for us in that way. It's... a long time. A really long time but...

[he gives a bit of a nod.] Times like this, it feels like no time at all has passed.

[he acts his age a lot more now that there are so many kids to take care of, after all. he doesn't feel old, but he's not what he was at nineteen.]

[stahn's not really sure he understands what judas means by that, honestly. stahn would imagine that their friendship was just one that had been very secure despite the time that had passed.

he doesn't really attribute himself to anything about that at all. they're just... friends.]

[stahn laughs a little... did judas think he would really change that much? stahn has a hard time imagining changing significantly, he doesn't think he has at all aside from getting older.]
