Clearly it must be, if you insist on harming yourself further by not resting when necessary!

I am in no way addled.

[ She is angry enough now that even the crows that are normally comfortable around her flap away. ]

Remove yourself, Mitsunari, and leave me in peace.

[unbending]

[Now he's just being stubborn and refusing to retreat.]

If you return to your proper resting place, I will do so, but no sooner than that.

[redbelltolls]

I was resting just fine before you stormed up here!

[unbending]

These are hardly the proper conditions for recovery!

[you're outside! and it's chilly! and you're half dead!]

I do not need to be coddled, Mitsunari! I am not addled and I am not weak!

[unbending]

I did not suggest that you are weak--however, you are trying very hard to convince me that you are addled.

I had thought I could trust you to be logical, Magoichi!

[redbelltolls]

You are suggesting it plenty.

[ Magoichi forces herself to her feet, though even that is a tiring ordeal. Despite the pain, however, she stands straight and meets his eye. ]

Stop fussing over me as if I were your unruly lover. I can decide what I have the strength for and what I do not perfectly well on my own.

[ Even though she is the injured one standing up.

...and perhaps silently hoping he storms off soon so she can collapse back in her chair. ]

[Yeah he's just going to point that out now.]

I am not the one moving around in such a way when injured!

[redbelltolls]

[ ...graaaah. ]

I will be just fine!

You look as though you are about to fall over!

[he's not totally oblivious okay.]

Then just go away and let me!

[ Magoichi is frustrated, tired, and in pain. She takes a deep breath to steady herself.

Then she simply crumbles back into her chair, putting her face into her hands. ]

[unbending]

[Hope you weren't actually expecting him to leave.

Because then he's leaning over and picking her up right out of her chair to carry her down to her bed.

Yep.]

[redbelltolls]

[ That noise Magoichi made may have just been a squeak.

Oh dear Yatagarasu what is he doing why is he picking her up --

It has been years since anyone had dared take her in their arms like this. Her initial instinct is to struggle, but she is tired.

It disturbs her how much she feels the sudden desire to just melt into his arms and stay there.

No. No no no. Bad Magoichi. Damn it, now she is blushing -- ]

[unbending]

[...He is oblivious to this.

He heard the squeak but he just gives her a tilted, confused look before moving right on down the stairs.

Maybe she has a fever. :V

God why did she have to go do stupid things.

And then he settles her into bed (with surprising gentleness) and steps back, arms crossed as he stares her down.]

Stay there, Magoichi, so you can recover and take care of your birds.

[redbelltolls]

Hmph.

[ It is a half-hearted sound. Her gaze darts away from his and then she promptly forces herself to her side, back to him and face hidden.

In her head, however, she is not so quiet. She is steadily scolding herself for being such a mess. ]

[unbending]

[He observes her for a moment.

And then he turns away, and leaves one last comment over his shoulder.]

I will return tomorrow.

[And he heads towards the door.]
