Magoichi forces herself to her feet and then moves to pour a cup of water from a nearby canister. She sets it on a tray beside Mitsunari's head with a firm thunk.

Yes, that is for you. ]

[He ignores it.

he has no time for such paltry things as water even if he feels like he has been asleep for a very long time and yes he is indeed very thirsty.]

[ She snaps his name as well as her fingers to get his attention. ]

[It does startle him into looking at her, at least, though he merely scowls.]

What is your intention, calling me with so little respect?!

To knock you out of whatever pity party you are throwing yourself.

You need water, so drink.

[ Yeah, no guilt at all. ]

[He hates you so much sometimes.

[ Look at all the damn she gives. ]

Like what? Getting up, ripping your wounds back open, and passing out again? Or dehydrating yourself to the point you will give yourself heat stroke?

[that's a pitiful argument, mitsunari]

Drink your water.

[ Now. ]

[He stares at her.

...And a moment later his thirst wins out and he huffs, reaching for the cup.]

[ Magoichi lets out a relieved breath.

Good. ]

[That breath draws his attention, even as he struggles to push himself into a sitting position so he can drink properly.]

...It is not as if I'm in danger of death.

[ Magoichi rubs the back of her hand across her eyes. ]

Now you are not.

You speak as though I was in danger of such a thing.

[ Magoichi spins on him with a growl. ]

Because you were, you idiot!

[He pauses, blinking.]

...Nonsense. I am fine.

Now that there is not a spear in your side and you have finally stopped bleeding and you are breathing again!

[ She realizes she is outright yelling at him now, her own emotions getting away with her. Damn it, Magoichi. She was supposed to be the calm one here.

The woman turns back around, pinching the bridge of her nose sharply. ]
