[Here is a magical girl flavored post with magical girl flavored prompts, starring--]

a. the stupidest prompt I could think of

[The scene is a restaurant--a cozy cafe, not too high end, but nice enough. Maybe you're working there. Maybe you're just trying to order your damn coffee. Either way, one second you're peacefully chilling near the counter or behind the counter, and the next there's a girl in a school uniform climbing on top of it on her hands and knees, reaching for something that seems to have fallen between two of the coffee machines.

She...pauses when your eyes meet.

And ever-so-politely:]

Pardon me.

[But she's not climbing down.

THIS IS A CAFE, LOSER.]

b. the one with a cat

[Sometimes, alley cats are very feral and scared of humans--but that is not at all the case for this one. This little black and white adventurous soul is very eager and willing to tumble forward, meowing loudly and begging for scraps. Clearly he's seen humans before and has been treated kindly.

Konoha, however, is frozen solid, staring at the kitten blocking her path. It's pretty comical, really. She doesn't necessarily look scared, but she does look like she's not entirely sure what to do.

Konoha.exe has shorted out, apparently, and is not sure how to deal with this demanding kitten who is blocking her path.

Aaaaah???]

c. the obligatory fight scene

[It's really impossible to say how you got there. One second you're wandering about, minding your own business, and the next! You're in a labyrinth. It has a particular vibe to it, with little assholes that are going to chase you around and try to kill you.

Possibly by ripping your arms off and/or stabbing you. What fun!

The labyrinth is disorienting, and seems to go in circles and circles, and then--

There's a girl dressed in ridiculous clothing in front of you, slicing away a familiar with a butterfly edged spear.

...]

What are you doing here? [wow, ice cold]

d. the "why is this happening" scene

[One second you're safely wandering the grocery store, the next AN ENTIRE TOWER OF APPLES is falling down from the apple stand your way.

WHAT DO YOU DO.]

[Some sort of fazing out magic...? Konoha isn't entirely sure what sort of wish he'd have to make for that--wait, no, that's not right. He's not even a girl, there's no way he's a magical girl!

He must be something else entirely... but what?

... Now's not the time. She shakes her head to clear it of all of those thoughts, frowning at his shounen THUMBS UP.]

... Don't take it the wrong way. I don't have the time to carry your body out of this place. If you die here, no one will ever know.

[And that's a fate too sad for her to even let a stranger experience it.]

Then all we gotta do is not die. I don't wanna go through something that sad.

[Aisaku's already had his fair share of tragedies. Even if he didn't seem like the type... Everyone had their skeletons in the closet. Regardless, he's going to walk up to Konoha for a handshake.]

Um... Is this the part where we exchange hero names or do we swap real names?

[... ... ... Mrrrhm. She's in too deep to just ditch him now, isn't she...?

She ignores his hand, though, turning on her heel again.]

It's Konoha. Just Konoha.

Let's keep moving.

Nice to meet ya! I'm Himehagi Aisaku... Or you can call me the "Imperial Guardian".

[He will shake his own hand since he's a dumbass like that. It's always a little embarrassing to say his real name out loud since it felt like a girl's name.

Curse his father's name scheme! He'll be following her right behind as he takes a few glances back. It was good to double check against any sneaky enemies.]

Sooo... You said that if we die here, then no one will know. Does that make this place some kind of funky alternate dimension?

[Is this guy for real....... there's no way she's calling him "Imperial Guardian", that's just embarrassing.

Also he totally just shook his own hand, didn't he? Didn't he??? How did she end up dealing with a guy like this...!!]

... It's a witch's labyrinth. I suppose an "alternate dimension" isn't too far off. Your body will be simply never be found in the real world. Nobody will ever know what happened to you.

Wha-!? You mean there's an old spooky chick who's behind all of this?!

[Don't mind him imagining the typical creepy old lady in fairy tale books. Wouldn't it be bad to punch an old lady? Evil or not, Aisaku had standards, okay!]

That's really heavy, though! Not even those Schatten bastards were capable of pullin' shit like this off!

[They are not at all talking about the same thing here, are they...?

Which is...to be expected, she supposes.

A dude isn't even supposed to be in here and able to fight.]

That is just how it is. It's the way of the world. If you want to survive, you have to be stronger than anything the witches can throw at you.

[Welp. Getting him passionately motivated was easy! If he had to be stronger than anything, then he'll surpass the current him right now! He still had tons of questions, but that summed things up nicely on what he had to do.]

You're a frosty princess, but you're a lot nicer than you look. You've could'va left me to rot back there, but you refused.

[WOW. Don't call her out on it!! Konoha hesitates--and then looks away, the faintest of flushes on her cheeks.

Rude.]

Don't misunderstand me. We aren't friends, and we aren't working together. You were just too pitiful to leave there.

There isn't anything else to it. The moment you begin to drag me down, I'll leave you.

[LOOK HE'S JUST SAYIN'.

She won't be able to see it under his mask, but he's totally shooting her a skeptical look. Did she just call him pitiful?! He was totally kicking ass a minute ago!]

Oh no you didn't.

[If one expected him to go snap snap like a sassy mama, Aisaku doesn't do that. But they do hit a crossroads with a split between left and right.]

Hey. Let's take the left way. We've been walkin' straight for a while now.

[OH YES HE DID--

... Hey now. The crossroads does give Konoha pause, and she looks down both pathways with a faint frown--but when he suddenly decides for them, she scowls.]

You're the one who's out of his depth. I don't believe you have the right to make any calls here.

[She...she doesn't want to tell him that she also thinks left is the correct way.]

Well... Excuuuuuuse me, princess.

[HE SAID THE THING!! Aisaku will put a hand on his hip and jerk a thumb over to the decided direction.]

I don't think those familiars are gonna be rollin' out the red carpet for your royal presence. Unless you've got another reason why my gut feelin' ain't right here.

[That's an extremely understandable response.]

... [HMPH!!]

You are eager to get yourself killed, aren't you? Fine. Have it your way. But I won't save you again.

Mrm... Stay behind me then. My back's probably the safest place to be.

[His way of saying that he'll take responsibility for whatever happens. He'll be walking down the path until they hit a flight of stairs that leads downward.

Up ahead... It looks like there was a set of distorted booths from an apartment park. The eerie part was that they were all empty and no one was around. Aisaku found it all chilling... Apartment parks were supposed to have laughs and smiles!]

Man, this is seriously creepy. I hope no one else gotten swallowed by this freaky place.

[She's all-too-used to the sort of atmosphere that can be found in a Witch's Labyrinth by this point; this is just par for the course.

She flicks her hair over her shoulder, frowning.]

... It is possible.

[Comforting! She walks along the path, heels clicking loudly in the eerie silence.]

The only way to keep them safe and alive would be to defeat the witch.

[And at the end of the path is seemingly a harmless merry-go-round. There's happy music playing as the seats spin around and around until they stop. The expressions on the happy horses shift to more murderous. Then the pillar at the center forms monster eyes and a mouth with a rather inhuman roar to go along with it. And finally, a set of spider legs forms as the whole platform lifts itself up. Aisaku doesn't even hide his fear and confusion... This thing was straight out of a horror movie!]

Hey, Konoha! Is that the witch we gotta defeat?! It's fucking creepy enough to stick out!

[If it is, then it certainly was everything that Aisaku wasn't expecting!]

[... It looks tough. That's the first thing she thinks, making a subtle face as she looks at the witch.

Maybe... it's good that he's here. Not that she'll admit to it, especially not to him, but...

... Well, anyway.]

That would be her, yes. [She says it quite calmly, spear held before her.]

She's aware we're here, too... this will be an unforgiving fight. [She turns her gaze on him properly.] Are you prepared to fight as though your life depends on it?

I've put my life on the line many times even before I became a Zelraider!

[It just went to show that Aisaku's heroic spirit was unwavering even when he wasn't being a hero. He tightens his fist as it burns red hot with resolve.]

I don't know how many times you've been fighting all by yourself, but you're not alone anymore! So we're gonna get through this together! Besides, I don't need an overly complicated or deep reason to fight by your side!

[He'll be looking back at her. She won't be able to see his smirk underneath the mask, but it's there in his voice.]

I don't know what school you go, what foods you like, but that's okay... We can work that out later! Your strength is something that I already believe in, princess.

[Since talking is a free action... HE HAD TO GET ONE SHOUNEN SPEECH IN. Meanwhile, the witch starts up its first attack by launching a pair of those horses towards them like a pair of fists. Time to go for a ride, kiddies.]

[oh my god she just got shounen speech'd.

Konoha's never experienced anything like it to be totally honest; she's been closed off from other people for so long--

She just ends up staring at him, eyes wide, mouth a little slack despite herself as she stares at him. She's... not alone anymore? He doesn't need a deep reason to fight by her side...?

What does that... mean?

... No, now isn't the time. She can figure out the meaning of his words later. For now, there are horses slamming their way, and Konoha shakes her head fiercely, jamming the razor sharp edge of her butterfly spear into the ground and using it as a pole to launch herself over the attack. She lands neatly, whipping around to face the witch.

She'll just have to trust that he can handle himself, right...?]

I'll take you on--enough of your menace!

[Spear held ahead of her, Konoha takes a large swing--which slams a wave of water the witch's way. The witch shrieks... but recovers quickly, and a giant hand with fingers made of merry-go-round poles swipes at both Konoha and Aisaku.]

[Aisaku dodges the first strike with a flip and he couldn't help and watches Konoha perform her first attack. She's dazzling... He thinks at the back of his mind. She certainly did sound like a magical girl heroine from a TV anime. It reminded him of a certain princess who was already long gone from this world... She knew a lot about the enemies they fought before too. Keziah...

One of the poles actually ends up hitting Aisaku since he was distracted by a past sad memory. The Zelraider cries out as he's flung into the air... Thankfully, that smack brings him back into reality. That's right! Keziah would've been yelling at him to get himself together right now!]

Bullseye Daaaaaaaart! [Punching out a ray of light towards the witch, Aisaku's attack lands successfully. But the witch is going to switch up tactics by stepping back and use its free hand to toss out a double set of tiger familiars. That should be a nice distraction!]

[... He's strong. Did she underestimate him...? It honestly surprises her a little, but... it's not a bad feeling. She'd prefer her sisters watching her back in any situation, and she still can't really trust him, but even so...

Even so... maybe in this one case, it's not so bad that he's here.

... She shakes off that thought, readying her staff as she stares at those tiger familiars.

This time... she calls out to him.]

... We need to get close to that witch. Help me to... [Hesitation. It's so difficult to ask for help.] --defeat these things.

[He'll get her to say the F-word sooner or later. But for now, Aisaku will be running up next to her. His brain tended to work a lot better in cases of emergencies. There were two enemies and two of them for right now. He had to wonder if this idea was going to work...]

You got it! I'll take the one on the right and you go for the one on the left. We'll split up, then meet up again in the middle... Then we can surprise 'em with a joint attack! They probably wouldn't expect that!

[He's not sure if she's ever tried one of those before, but there was a first time for everything.]

Um... Ya think you can do that? I can give you a signal or something!

[No F-words!!! None here!!!

Either way... he's more competent than she was anticipating, and that's a blessing she's not going to sniff at, to be totally honest. She didn't want help, but if he's offering competent help...

Well.

She's not so proud that she won't accept it.]

Fine. I can handle that and more--just hold up your end of things.

[And with that? She turns on her heel, staff at the ready as she lunges left. Keep up, Aisaku!!]

[So he shall as he jumps to the right for combat! Compared to the previous familiars, Aisaku notes that they're stronger than the scrubs than before. He's never trained together with Konoha, so he wouldn't know her movements by heart. However, he opts for an idea that felt simple, effective, explosive even. Complex ideas weren't his thing.

While he kicks the tiger familiar down, Aisaku quickly turns over to Konoha as he dashes forward.]

Hey, Konoha! Hold your staff up and charge energy into it! Like a bubble!

[Bossy, bossy...

If she didn't think he was competent, she'd argue it, or just ignore him--but weirdly enough, she actually feels like he might have some sort of decent idea here.

So she huffs, and does just that, lifting her staff up, blue energy gathering at the tip and glowing, and as she does:]

Don't get accustomed to ordering me around...!
